In addition to what JStieger says, check all your boost lines to be sure you didn't simply blow a boot off.
Ryan
did you check your oil for diesel?
Your signature says you don't have your stock turbo anymore, but maybe you still blew it up. Did you pull the intake hose off the turbo inlet and check for leaks, shaft play, etc? Oil running out the exhaust?
How high boost did you get to before you heard the "small boom sound"?
but if the turbo went out would it lose that much power and have smoke continuesly??
YES!

I havent tryed to start it yet since I turned it off after it happened, what if it dont start,do you think it would still be the turbo, also I checked the engine oil and the radiator antifreeze coolant, everything looks good
If the turbo went south it is possible to ingest oil on the intake side. To be safe, pull the intake elbow off the manifold and start it. Or pull the intake hose off the elbow. Then if it is spitting oil or turbo parts you won't end up with them in the engine.
Be sure you keep your hands away from the intake! The suction is strong enough to really hurt you, especially if you get a run away.
