Competition GOT slicks?

GENE CLEANS UP!!!!

Early word is that Gene beat Powersnorter for first place tonight! I'm sure Gene will fill us in on the details later tonight when he makes it home.

I still have some tuning to do yet. I was going to try to make the pull tonight, but work kept me away. I'm shooting to ready for the May 11th pull.

Bit tired after the ordeal, just got in at 4;30 am, but I had a Full Pull at 250', Powersnorter, aka "The Weapon" piloted by Batman, came in at 249. 2

congrats---I'm sure you will fill us in on how the truck ran(very good by the results) and whatever else---could you have gone further if the track was longer---how close is the Weapon to your truck is what I'm tryin' to figure out---congrats again and way to go----chris

Well, I feel Frank prolly has about 200 hp on me, but since we have not dynoed together, and Frank sandbags when he is on the dyno anyway, I can't say fer sure.

I guess you missed Frank at Tulare, Chris, but his truck runs good.

He won one class last year at Muncie, got second in another, beating Lorretta Mitchell and Dave Gresh, the Scheid winner from the year before.

The wastegate blew the whole way down the track, the pyro was buried, (need more turbo!,LOL) the engine played with the load, it was a pretty nice pull.

I started letting the clutch out at about 3000, and the tires just started churning dirt onto the hood, almost zero slipping needed, dump the clutch and mash the pedal, it was AWESOME to have a clutch that HOOKS!!!!!Oo. Oo.

Could I have gone farther?

They flagged me, I wasn't stopped.

Did I mention I got a trophy?

Oo. Oo. Oo.

Any of you guys fooling with 12 valves, at the very least get one of Piers's race torque plates, I ran it last night about half way.

One of the smallest, cheapest up grades you can do, and my,my,my does it do the trick.

buttoned up

Dang Gene with you on the pulling track and me on the dragstrip the GLTDR should sweep Thunder in Muncie in the battle of the regional TDR chapters. Oo.

Great job nonetheless, and I hate to say it, but if you would have listened to me the first time about clutches, you could have been winning a year ago.

Congrats, Gene, bring the trophy to Maryland so I can get a pic of me holding it, like you did to me at Scheid's when I won the Show 'n' Shine...

Great Job...

Great Job Gene...

From the grandstands, that truck of yours sounded like a Jet Plane...

Most of the people sitting around me in the grandstands were die hard Ford guys and were all just waiting for Frank to pull that sled through the gate faster and farther than you, but... :D :D :D

Lets just say there were many many people saying "Holy S?&t, did you see that Dodge go?"... .

Once agiain Gene, GREAT JOB...

Andy
