Have you got nitrous or propane? The last time I saw one of your sigs, you were running close to what I had- H2E, Mitchell delivery valves, Mitchell injectors, Gov. spring kit, #4 plate, maybe a gutted AFC housing. By now you probably have the cam and pistons in that you were thinking about getting. Was it you that Piers was building the pump for? Yeah, they probably have a class for you. I pulled with Dave Mitchell and Dave Gresh last year. Gresh pulled at Shelbyville last year and I pulled with him. He lost the rearend in his and I burnt the clutch completely out. We were the only really bad smoker trucks there last year at that pull and neither one of us took home a trophy. I've retired my truck for now. I have to start saving to get married. Gotta sacrifice something. I've pulled a smoker truck for about the last two years and became known well enough as "that silver Dodge", that know; when I show up, the local yocals won't let me pull. Plus I can't afford a cam, twins, lower comp pistons, o-ringed block, 5500rpm 13mm+ pump, ARB locker for the front, marine head, block reinforcements, etc. It's expensive; I've checked on it all and I'll keep on dreaming. If you decide to come and are taking I-75, let me know. I live in London, KY and I am going to go watch. We might be able to go up together.

HOLD IT!

"block reinforcements"

That is not on my bill, should I have gotten that?

Gene,

I heard that on your ticket it said, "Payment is to begain as soon as you bend over!" ;)

I also heard you refused so they sent the law after you. :p :D

Just kidding ya,

Andrew

It wouldn't really be block reinforcements I don't guess. Scheid has some better hardware for the bottom end. I also thought about filling the block and only cooling the head.

there is also a pull in Bardstown. KY. july 19. there will be 2 classes street and open. you can see classes and payout on the calander of events or call 502-349-9493.

Studding the main caps and head works also. The reason my truck is not allowed to pull, is that for some reason Open has to be street legal. Mine's No where near there. I'm not runnig propane. Yes Piers is building a pump for me. My Six, that's just water weight gain, it will go away, Really:D :D

Don

Don,

Isn't your truck licensed and insured? This is considered street legal for most pulls. Almost everyone knows which trucks are hauled in but they don't care because they know it is an open class. Granted that they probably would buck if you had your motor in the bed or cab, a center drivers seat, or all fiberglass body. Mitchell and Gresh would pull if it was open and everyone knows that they are trailered trucks. They won't stop you from pulling as long as you have proof of insurance and registration.

Smoker, no my truck is not licensed or insured to run on the street. It has been built as a pulling truck. there is nothing on the truck accept what is needed to pass the safety inspection of the organization I pull with here in MO. These rules include engine side guards,Harmonic balancer guards ,driveshaft loops, u-joint shields and air supply shutoff devices, just to name a few of the requirements.

Don

not allowed?

you guys will have to check and make sure but i think that they are having a class that you can run in. kind of like the only rual is "NO WHINING":D i will post if and when i find out for sure>
