truck pull

ANYONE have any ideas im going to a truck pull and pull my truck what are some quick mods i can do before i pull to get most power/traction with my truck i have the drag comp, stright pipe, egt. fuel press. boost gauge BHAF filter if any could help me thanks

i'll break the ice for ya. umm 1st off you need to check with your class restrictions and see what is allowed/mandatory to pass tech inspection.



for traction I noticed last fall them mtz's were the ticket. alot of people think hooking up is what you want but I will tell you right now boggers are NOT the ticket with you HP numbahs.



if stiffknees are allowed RUN THEM if not install spacers on bumpstops on the rear axle to limit the rear axle travel to the minimum travel noted in rulebook.



traction bars in the rear RUN THEM. this will keep your rear suspension from getting to doing things it shouldnt and breaking stuff.



hanging weights out front RUn them if class restrictions allow and as far outboard as they allow. if they dont allow them up front put them on a heavy rubber mat in on ther floor boards. and 3rd choice for the weights if them allow would be on a bracket in the front of the bed of the truck. hope you have friends that are farmers. i had to buy 500lbs from the deere dealer wadnt cheap.



remove the silencer ring so you sound cooler going down the track. sorry this is a all show no go mod.



also when pulling dont worry about the egts while going down the track a few seconds will not hurt it at all. I did some things to my banks tuner and she run egts through the roof. all i had on my truck at the time was the banks and straight pipe with k&n drop in and she finished 5th out of 13 diesel unlimited class.
