Are there any truck pulls in the south. I am in Texas and have never heard of any. I keep reading and watching videos of pulling and want to try. Thanks.

I dont know if the Kyle thing ever happened. . something happened with the sponsers. . and that was the last I heard... The only real pull that I know of are DeLeon in August. . Not sure if Wrightrite (sp) is going to pull trucks his year... (check the Outlaw web site for dates. ) The Antique group in Stephenville bought a seld that used to pull ProStock, and Mods... They will pull whatever shows up. . It is a good sled. . (nothing like the Busch sled. ) but about the best around here. .

That's the only downside I could find when I had to move from Michigan to Texas back in November. It used to be a half day's drive (at most) to see some pulls, now I'll be lucky if I can take five days off of work to make the trip to Indiana this year.

i seen a thread about the kyle truck pulls a while back, thats why i had said something. i sure hope there are some pulls this year in texas. im planning on moving back to the san marcos/austin area soon and need entertainment this summer :-laf

Here in Georgia there are 2 I know of. Jesup and a town called Cullodun, Georgia. The thing with Jesup is just invited trucks pull, and that totals 9. Tractors are the big thing. If we had more trucks, more leverage could be applied. In Cullodun, gassers are the biggy but , when we pull with the diesels, the folks get excited. Diesels are new to them.

. . Preston. .

Preston. . that is the same problem we have. . Numbers. . if there were more trucks it would be easier to put something together...

They always pull a bunch of trucks at the DeLeon pull. . and there are some fair trucks there. . but not like we would start seeing if there was a real class... . with rules... its just a "Run what Brung". . (and hope you brung enough) class. .

Brad. . the main thing is a good sled that will safely handle the trucks. . there are a bunch of sleds around. . I know 7-8 (maybe more) sleds in TX. . but probably 2 that could safely handle the trucks. . Many of the Antique sleds are still using a cable drive which is OK. . (OK at best) for slow antiques. . but not too good for anything with some speed. . We have pulled some trucks after the Antique pulls. . and it works. . If DeLeon still has their sled. . and the Sled in Stephenville. . are the only ones that I know of that will work good for the trucks. . there is a new sled in south TX that I have not seen yet. . will probably pull it sometime later this year. (with the Antiquer. . )

yes. . there is Interest... I think a few of us are going to start playing with a 1st Gen to maybe go to DeLeon...

Bryan

When is Deleon? I want to go, and maybe pull. I hope that in the future something can get started. Keep me posted if anything happens, and if there is anything I can do from a far to help it get started let me know.

Brad

Try the link below for the Outlaw schedule. . It looks like there is going to be 3 Outlaw pulls in TX, Talyor, Whitewright, and DeLeon. . I'm not sure who to contact about the truck pulls. . They usually run them very last... I have not been to Talyor or Whitewright to know if they pull the trucks. .
