I have had CoverMaster Tops on my last 3 trucks and have had no trouble at all and they are cheaper than others I have priced.

CoverMaster is the only cover I can find that has the side windows that lift up. This is a great advantage in my openion.

No, Cliffman, they are just for ventilation. Even if they did open, I would need a step ladder to reach into the bed. The whole rear door section opens and swings up, giving a huge cavernous opening, or, you can just open the walk through door. It has been extremely convenient. I get a lot of compliments on its' looks also. The BEDRUG is the secret to having a topper of any brand on a truck. Since you loose standing room in your bed, you will be crawling around on your knees. The BEDRUG completely eliminates the feel of the ribs in the bed and is quite comfortable to kneel on and even to camp in. The other benefit, for those of us with 4" exhausts or other exhaust mods, is that it is a great sound damper from the noise that resonates in an enclosed bed area, because that will definately transfer into the cab. A topper seems to amplify the exhaust noise.

I have a Jeraco hi-rise on my 04. 5. Had a cab hi on my 03. They match the chape and profile of the cab to perfection. Color matching is standard and matches my Patriot blue perfectly. 03 was a Patriot blue also and that cap matched the color and shape of cab great.

Does anybody have a leer 100XQ? I think it's their top line cap. In the books it looks nice. Also does anyone have a removable front window (slider)? I am interested to see how that works. Cleaning between windows has always been a problem.

My last 2 leer caps did not match the profile of the cab. In both cases they were lower than the roof of the cab and IMHO looked like s--t. Both caps had issues with the hardware. The locks corroded and windo latches broke. I had an A. R. E. on my ford and really put that cap to the test when I rolled the truck(a ford) over on it. I had 1,000 lbs of tools in side the cap plus the weight of the truck sitting on it. It bent the roof rack but everything else worked fine and only wrinkled the front wall slightly. After that I switched to Dodge. Really hard to knock the Jeraco. Looks like it was made by Dodge. A. R. E. was great but for fit and finish my vote goes to Jeraco. Oo.

Ive looked at Leer and Snug top for my 04. I owned a Lear a few years back and didnt like the customer support or should I say lack of. . I do like the Snug Top as Ive owned about 5 so far to date. I just wish they had something other than a "cab high" for my 04. I called the mfg and they have no plans to build a taller cap. . Im still going to go with snug top. Just because the dealers treat you right! :D

This is why I like CoverMaster, because of the dealer I use in Lansing Michigan,Aadvanced toppers on Cedar St. ,they have treated me right for many years, good customer service goes a long ways :)

I have a SnugTop with the "windoor" option. I also have wheel to wheel nerf bars to step up on to reach into the the side of the top thru the windoors. It works great. Exactly the same setup that I had on my F250 for 12 years. The SnugTop has a nice single handle latch on the rear hatch. I wish they still made the accordian boot like I had on my Ford. It was the best cab to shell connection I've ever seen.

I love my CTD!!!

I want to the Jeraco dealer and it looks like a real good piece. The dealer really knocked Leer, and WAS a Leer dealer. I just want to examine an ARE cap, and then I'll make a decision. I would consider a snugtop but I can't find a dealer around here.

I had the cap installed today. It's a Jeraco supreme. Quality is real good, especially the rear door and paint match. No regrets here! Dealer was good too.
