That would be great!! I've gone to the public trace and see that it passed customs... but I'm guessing that you'll be more accurate tracking than the public one is updated... but then maybe I'm wrong. It's just good to know that it's on a railcar finally and has some of an update... just wondering when that train will be moving and which direction it will be going.

Thanks so much for checking... TDR is really a great thing to belong to!!

It was scheduled to depart Laredo around 0100, for some reason its still there as of about 0600.

I'm going to bed right now... but I'll try to look it up when I get up... and give ya a general idea of where its headed.

Just checked... Departed Sosananto, TX 03/23/02 08:17

I'm trying to find the "secure" trace from home. . I used to have it... . all I can find is the public trace from my home PC. Best I can do right now.

Hi Mike, I found the auto trace to be a nice way to see where you truck is. It seemed that every couple of hours they would update there system. With living in PA I thought it was cool to see where it was at. I drove my wife nuts with it. Good luck. Jeff

Something is screwy with the secure trace..... on the scheduled events it says it hasn't left Laredo yet LOL.

I'll check on the specific train symbol the car is on tonight at work and get back to you in the morning when I get home.

Kat... any update that is better than the Public trace?

I've been following it all weekend and looks like it's now in St. Louis - I'm guessing it's going to be there for a day or so. Earlier this morning it was just outside of St. Louis with a ETA to Council Bluffs of 3/29 at 1:30am - now it is in valjct, IL, with Road of ALS and Event of Interchange... what the heck does that mean?

Thanks... can't believe that in 10 days I might actually have my truck!!!

I tracked it this morning from work. . but I left the paper at work.

Let me get on the UP website from home... ...

When it says interchanged it means it was "given" to another railroad... ... . why your truck went that way I have absolutely no idea. Since its on another railroad I can't find any info from home. That info I might be able to pry into at work.

Theres not a whole lot I can tell you right this minute. I am still perplexed as to why your railcar was interchanged. Maybe art of the train goes that way and yours is just along for the ride lol.
