Check the U-Joints

If your truck shudders when moving backwards whether it is pushing something [under power ] or coasting, or even in neutral, then I would think you have either a U-Joint or maybe driveshaft to pinion angle problem.



If it is only when backing up under power, it is probably rear axle hop.

I found the prolem. It only happend when my root was the brackes holding the speed. It was the left front brake, the ancor bolt came out. iguess I did't tighten the upper bolt enough! It cost me $3. 00 to fix. Thanks for your help.
