Truck shuts off

I have a co-worker with an 04 auto that will shut off as he is driving down the road. He pulls over and sits for a couple miniutes and it will refire and go along for another 5-10 miles and do the same thing. It just started this week. Truck has 50k on it. No codes. Any help would be appreciated.

Should still be under warentee ? I saw an other post yesterday were the guy just bought the truck and it died getting it home , just a few miles and he getting the runaround , there seems to be too many things to fail on the new trucks that its hard to keep up with , sorry that this is'nt an answer to your ?
Has he tried to get codes out [ cycle key to run posission 3 times stopping
the 3rd time in the run pos. , do not turn key to start during this ] ?

No codes? Ignition key switch circuit or in dash computer going bad? ECM Computer overheating?

I've seen this before. it was a bad LP and HPP (Lift Pump, and High Pressure Pump) at the same time...

Thanks guys'. We did check for codes and there are none. I guess he needs to take it to the dealer,just afraid they will give him the old can't duplicate and send him on his way. Always better to have some idea of what the problem is before letting the Mad-Scientists experimnet on your investment.
