Try hot wiring the VP44 to eliminate anything outside of it. Do a search here on the forum for the words "hot wire VP44" and you should be able to find instructions on how to do this... it's been covered many times.
If it won't start and run with the VP44 hot wired, then the VP44 is likely bad. They do sometimes fail without warning or trouble codes.
If you've only had the VP44 11 months, it should still be covered under Bosch's one year unlimited mileage warranty. Where did you buy it?
