Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) truck stalling

im not normally posting on this forum, however i have a friend in need of help. 97 12v . he says it stalls every time he stops at a light. also stalls when starting away from a stop , unless he puts it in netural adds some rpms then puts it in drive. i asked him to check the idle is 750 to 800 in gear . any help would be appreciated. thanks for your help.

Increasing the idle should do it. If not let us know. Remember those RPM settings are in gear with the AC on.
