Do you ever "pause" at all in neutral when shifting? Or do you go straight to D or R? Try pausing a bit..... with a tighter torque converter it sometimes does that on some trucks.

I have had DD III's and now have BD IV's plus the 91% TC from DTT... . my truck doesn't stall but I disn't like how hard it felt like it was on the driveline so I made a habit of pausing.

I had heard that a certain reflash helps with stalling issues... ... has your truck ever had a reflash?

Mike,

Seeing as how the only change that i know that you made so far is the injectors and the comp, back track, disconnect the comp box first , try that. If the idle is at 600 , chances are you have an injector tube issue, it is possible you nicked more than the one you thought you did.

Best way to check is make sure the idle is nice and smooth. With a set of DD 11's your idle should be very smooth. In other words your tach should not be moving around.

Since I have your new transmission still on my bench, and the transmission hasnt been altered yet, chances are the trans is not the source of the problem.

I know turbo terry up there is struggling with a fuel issue, is it possible you got some bad fuel?

You may want to try and email terry , he is also a tdr member.

Thanks guys for the info. I know it was just one injector tube that i screwed up. I made definate sure that i didnt do another. Man i felt like an idiot when i did that. Kat i do have to wait like u said to put it in gear. Thats the only way i can get it to stop doing it too. Im still on the original transmission. Cant wait till you ship mine tommorow Bill. :D It also does it when i quick jab at the throttle and back out of it. It will stall if im not rolling fast enough like at a stop sign like im gonna inch my way up and then stop.

When the transmission is in drive or Rev the rpm is about 625-675. When its in nuetral its about 100 higher. All this was happening before I added everything to the truck so I know its not those. Its ok when I wait and shift but if I do it fast it will stall out. I just doesnt seem right that you have too wait.

I guess those RPMs sound ok for an auto. I thought maybe that was your neutal idle, which would be too low. I guess I can't help you much. Maybe if you could get the dealer to put the computer on it and check the timing while at an idle, that might not be calibrated correctly.

Mirsh- welcome to the club. Mine did it when I first put in the 275 injectors and the DTT transmission stuff. I took in to shop and they did reflash 18-015-00A done and if fixxed my problem till this winter when we got the real winter fuel (read #1 with a splash of #2) and now it does it again. Turbo Terry has the same problem right now and none of the reflashes helped. Mine does not do it all the time or every time but just occasionally. Mostly when I don't come to a complete stop with backing and switching to drive.

I think if you go to Garrets on Arctic and International they should have straight #2 available as they told Terry that April 1 was the date they were getting #2. I bet this will solve your problem.

Come on out to the meeting and we can tell you all about the crappy fuel we get... ... and all our problems.
