Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
Well, I buckled down and ordered the AVIC-N1 today. I figured with all those moving parts, the 5 year warranty for 99 bucks was worth it. Anyways, I'm wondering from those of you running this head unit, how many of you are using the DEQ-P8000 Dolby digital decoder / DSP box? One of my main concerns with the AVIC-N1 is the measily 1V preouts, but the DEQ has 5V pre-outs and is fed with a digital signal. That seems like the way to go for sound quality, even when listening in non-5. 1 mode. The only thing I don't like is that it requires the external remote to use it with the AVIC-N1... you'd think they'd have all that functionality built in on a head unit that plays DVD's. Go figure. Anyways, can't wait until it gets here. Maybe my wallet will luck out and I'll be happy enough without the 5. 1 for a while. I'll update this thread as I get stuff installed. Next on the list is an Adire Brahma 15" MKII, and JL ZR6. 5's for the doors. This should be fun!
