Well this morning it was about -7 degrees and the truck was a little tough to get going to say the least, once it started which was on the 2nd try the check engine light came on so I checked the codes and this was what was on there...

P0882

P0606

P2769

P0514

P0336

Can anyone please tell me what these mean. Thanks, Mike

Mike~

Here is the link for codes for the 2003 CTD~http://www.tdr1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64031

0882-not on this list

0606- Internal ECM Processor (my pickup has displayed this code too and I see we have TST boxes in common, so I suspect that is the culpurit. I've ignored mine and the codes have cleared themselves after only a couple days)

2769-not on list

0514-Battery Temp Sensor Performance/Rationality- I've heard this code gets tripped whenever it gets cold (although it was -39 F here two mornings ago and I haven't had problems with it yet)

0336- Crankshaft Position sensor performance- my TST box trips this code on my pickup too, and I don't worry about to too much.

Hello, how did you check the code's? From what gear you have on your CTD, your mech skill's are way above mine! Thanks for the info...

Hello EErmert, all you need to do is cycle the ignition key 3 times without engaging the starter and on the 3rd time just watch where your mileage would normally be displayed and it will start reading you off what ever codes were tripped. Mike

My truck didn't throw any codes this AM, BUT, when I stuck the key in the ignition, and turned the key to the first position for the grid heaters, all of the lights on the dash came on, and the tach and speedo when up to max and back down. VERY WIERD, anyone else have this happen ever?

CAgnoli -- It sounds like you accidently ran the gauge diagnostic thing. I can't remember how to do it, nor what the actual name of it is called as you can see. :) The rpm and speedo stair step all the way up and back down. I wouldn't worry much about it.

JLovas -- Where the heck do you live??? That's COLD.

MikeS1 -- On a side note, my TST tripped codes 336 and 606 this morning also. :)

I know on my 2000 that in order to get the dash to do a "self-test" you had to hold in the trip odometer reset button when you turned the ignition to ON... .

I've noticed if I turn the tst down to 0 it doesn't through codes on cold mornings. In the habit now of turning it down if I don't plug her in. Plugging it in helps also.

Hillsboro, ND (between Fargo and Grand Forks on the east edge of the state) One thing about ND weather, if you don't like it, wait 10 minutes... it will change :)

By the way, my TST also brings 336 and the 606 codes too, but my check engine light cancels itself only after about 5 run cycles  (thought someone here said it was closer to 40 cycles.
