What i want to do with my truck is to have a very streetable truck that will see the sled 2 nights a year. i want to achieve at least 700HP over the next few years. What i want from you TDR members is to evaluate my list and let me know if i am missing something or if i dont need something to achieve my goal. Reliability is a big concern for me, i know i shoulda left it stock but after the smarty, there is no going back. i have one question. will the smarty and the TST maxed out drain my rail. if so, recomendations to fix that? My main concern with all this is keeping rail pressure under controle and not hurting valves or injectors. also con the stock driveline besides input shaft, u joints and clutch handle this kind of power. im a second GEN guy going CR.

Do you think i will need a modded CP3 of any kind for all this. This is not going to happen right away as is it is under warrenty for another 10000 miles but that doesent mean i cannot start buying and saving. thank you for all your input. i will reply and check this daily.

with just a TST and DDP 90's, I benefited greatly from a modded pump. As far as the 5" exhaust, consider the motoblue, it was just a hair over $400 shipped, and sounds good. I have the fass 95, it's not going to be nearly enough for you, I'm going to get the Glacier 392 to replace it.

As far as clutches, you'll probably need a dual disk, hold out for the new one coming out from South bend.

thanks yfor the reply, i looked at south bend. everything they have is 550 HP and down. haisley machine has got soem that will hold my app. i got a while so hopefully by then south bend will have one out. exhause is going to be made by myself. i work in a huge fabrication shop. i will check out the glacier kit. i was thinking i would need at least a 150 GPH. thanks

The glacier kit you'll probably need is the 392. I believe southbend's Con FE is rated at 550, but the dual disk should be able to hold every bit of 700 h. p. Theres been plenty of discussions about twins vs. singles, and many different opinions. I'm happy with my silver bullet, didn't really want to get into the complexity of twins.

yeh i can see where you are getting at with the complexity of the twins. all the plumbing can be welded by me out of 304 or 409 stainless pipe and then polished by a mirror finish at work. all i would have in it would be soem hours of free time at work after hours using the equipment and about 50$ in material. ima certified tig pipe welder so that all will be no biggy. the question is what turbos to use?prolly would like to reuse the HX35 on it like the kit haisley machine sells

I know some of what I'm about to suggest flys in the face of common forum thought. Having said that:

You might reconsider the TST and injector selection. The TST makes most of it's power through long duration which is a ton of fuel and it is really hard for any turbo combo to overcome and spool up properly. Consider for pulling purposes the new "Wild " selection SMARTY with larger injectors, i. e. Don M's Flux 4's and in lieu of the TST try a MP8 which has infinite adjustability of pressure. I think you'll find most of the big pullers are not running a lot in the way of stacks but have opted for larger injectors. I know of one puller in the 800hp range and is still streetable with only ONE DL and injectors!! To keep the power up I'd go for the GDP instead of the FASS as it is more adjustable and can make psi all the way up to 100psi,... obviously you won't need that much but again it is just about infinite adjustability. Couple that with either the PPE or ATS dual CP3 setup and your fuel problems should be solved. For pulling I'd go with the large single turbo, i. e. the Silver Bullet "71". You'll need an upgraded Intercooler,... ck out the City Diesel unit which is rated several times hgiher on pressure than any of the other popular units. Fire ring and studs should handle your head gasket situation and if you still have the $$$ a Don M cam and springs would be a excellent upgrade. The SNOW Stg 2 will keep you cool. You sould be well into the 700s with that setup for sure and possibly you'll hit 800.

The rest of your selections should work nicely. Just My $. 02 :D
