I have a co-worker that passed away, and his wife is in need of selling his Truck. How much do you guys that know these trucks very well, think she should ask for it? Is it worth more than blue book?

It is:

2005 Dodge Ram

3500 Dually 4x4 quad cab 4 dr.

5. 9L automatic

110,000 miles

Dark Blue

stock but has some nice accessories.

very clean and sharp.

Thank you for your input.

Dealers use the NADA book for wholesale, rough and clean trade in and retail. Try their site. Just check off boxes and get all info. Google NADA.

I hope you or someone else is going to help protect the widow from scam artists and test drivers. As a recent widow she may not be prepared or wise enough to avoid the scammers who may show up.

Sometimes it is better to try to sell it to a truck wholesaler who will hand over a verifiable bank draft than deal with the public, not all of who are honest and well-intentioned.

Out here just about any 3rd Gen commands a hefty price at dealerships.

The best way to get a real value on the truck is to see what they are commanding at the local auction houses where the dealers buy their stock at and then do some trips to your local dealers and see what they are actually selling for. The NADA and KBB Internet sites are so far behind the times its pitiful and many trucks commands way more than they will ever show.

I have seen 05's with the miles on your truck has out here bring prices that would make you scratch your head. Do your research and try to make sure she gets a fair price so does not get taken advantage of... ... ... Andy
