Truck wanting to pull through brake.

My truck yesterday started acting as if it had no neutral idle when in drive. For instance when going to a stop at a stoplight while in drive. The truck revivs up and starts to accellerate and if you go from drive to actual neutral the engine surges up the red line then goes back to idle. Also when you start up the truck it idles at around 800 rpms, but when you shift into gear it acts as if the truck is under heavy load drop down to around 550 rpms.



Any body got any ideas on what this problem may be?



Truck is 06 2500 SRW Auto with Smarty on level 3, 3. 73 gears running 325 AT/TOYO's , 5inch exhuast and AEM intake.

If it is a manual transmission your master cyl is bypassing and causing clutch engagement. My factory set up went at 80k and not my South Bend upgraded replacement may be shot at 160k. I'll know tomorrow if it is my problem when the parts get here.

BTW, it is a 30 min replacement job with hand tools.

The torque converter may be partially applied.

When its doing this revving and dropping idle, are you getting a bunch of black smoke from the exhaust when it revs up?
