Dave,
Yes, I have been running home brew for several years - mostly B100. I started out running commercial B99 when the price was near parity with petro. I removed and cleaned all fuel system components including the tank, with the exception of the head which has ports for the fuel return from the injectors. Most components had some build up of a brown waxy material, especially the fuel pick up in the tank. I suspect that the material that I removed was a build up of soap that was not properly removed in the BD wash process. I found no evidence of any rust in any component, and in fact I have never found any water build up in my fuel filter - ever - maybe just a benefit of living in sunny California...
At this point, I am starting to believe that the fuel system issue that Dodge originally declared as the culprit was never the issue - maybe some day it would have been.
One thing I have learned from this process is that our fuel systems are not made to run B100 or even B20 - I know sag2 - Duh! But I do believe that with proper filtering technique its possible to eliminate the risks of using B100. Water in the fuel is your biggest enemy as I have learned, because it acts like a sand blaster within the injectors. I do believe that I was very diligent in removing the water in my fuel, just not good enough at removing the soaps.
