I posted on the rusted injectors the dealer said was bad but my buddy's truck still won't start after he changed out the tips, CP3 and getting ready for a FASS it throws a code for the fan switch dealer and chrysler have no idea truck is getting fuel to the injectors. It's been 2 months and chrysler help line just says sorry and hangs up on him now. He's trying another dealer now but does anybody have any ideas?

funy thing, I've seen lots of diesels fail to start because they did not have enough BATTERY to support the ECU/etc. Had dealers and techs scratching their heads for days, spending thousands on all kinds of components in the process. Not saying this is your problem but it might be... .

Our 2005 truck would not start on the 2nd day we brought it home. It was 100% virgin and had the same type issue. After 4 weeks they diagnosed a bad TPS solenoid or sensor that was not showing up in diagnostics tests. Evidentally the fueling is tied to the TPS somehow on startup.

Thanks for the reply's different mechanic shop said they would just start pulling sensors off and replacing em till it started. He tried the crank sensor but was not wanting to replace all the sensors for money reasons.

Supposedly the flew some engineer in for our truck and he made a jumper wire to go around the relay or solenoid on the TPS and thats how the figured it out. It would certainly be worth the 10 minutes to try it.

Let us know what all it is.

Had the same problem with our 2002 Dodge Durango with a 4. 7 liter. Tech made a jumper wire to ground out the TPS and it started just fine. So he made a new ground wire for the TPS and we had no further problems.

What is the TPS solenoid?

throttle position sensor: Thanks for the reply's he is gonna try that but the dealer offered to buy back his truck so he is probably just gonna trade it in. He's got a new quad box still in the box 75 hp injector tips and a new CP3 he is gonna have to get rid of now cause they won't work on the 05. He bought all that thinking the injectors were bad and changed them then the CP3 and never got to run the box cause the truck never started.

P. S. the box was never installed so that couldn't be part of the problem.
