Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Truck wont start

Today I started my truck and ran to the store. Truck ran for about 5 min, got back in and tried to start it again and no start. It will crank over but wont fire. Fuel pump is working. It only does if it has ran for a short amount of time and shut of and tried to start again. If I wait about 30 min it will usually start right up. Any suggestion

Can you have the truck scanned? Have you tried starting after a starter bump cycle? We can only hope you don't have the 0216 come up on scan.

Truck was scanned no codes. Thinking it could possibly the injection pump since it does have 235000 on it and original injection pump.

You would more than likely have the 216 or other fuel related code. I would try and find possible air leaks into the fuel system. An easy check is the filter cap or banjos. Mike

Sounds like deja vu ... happened to me last week. I had good fuel pressure everywhere. But found low volume from the Lift pump only 6 oz should be 64 oz.



Just had the LP replaced 60 days ago. . Gonna go postal on my machanic, who recommend a PM replacement before failure, if it took out my VP44. .
