Well this all started about two weeks ago. When i would turn the key on and while waiting for the wait to start light to go of, usually the radio would come on. It hasen't been for awile and then it would and i would start the truck. This morning i went to start it and it would not crank. I have the batteries on the charger right now. Does this just sound like a battery problem. Any suggestions would be appriciated.

First put up a sig so we know how old the batteries are.

the wait to start uses so much power that if you have low batteries, the voltage will be too low for the radio to work. I had this problem in the winter when I had to do it 2 times, the batteries were low and I charged them up. I have the truck 2. 5 yrs now and I repaced the origional batteries with 2 exide group 27 850 cca batteries. The old batteries were not able to be serviced for water and they went bad. the new ones were low on water from shelf storage and I put it on a trickle charge overnight and they are now up fully. I paid $61 each for the batteries.

Wont start

If these are original batteries, pry the caps off and put some watwer in, they run out of water in about 60,00 miles or three years. bg
