Nate,

Good to hear that it is turning out to be legit. I wouldn't worry about over-reacting when it comes to your credit info.

I had a similar problem once when ordering online. I got an email that simply said please contact us about your order though, so it wasn't as fishy sounding.

For whatever reason the card was kicked back as being an incorrect address. The address was fine. I called the vendor and the first customer service lady I talked to was a real PITA. She must have just hated life or something like that. She wouldn't listen to me at all. She told me that the address was wrong and that I needed to contact my bank. When I tried to tell her that that is the address the bank has she just kept telling me to call the bank. So I did and they verified the address was correct and so I called back and got a different lady. I explained what was going on and she said "okay, well I'll put a note in here that we verified the address and it will ship tomorrow. "

BTW, it was KitchenAid's online shopping site. I would consider them a very reputable business.

Doesn't it bother you to give out your Credit Card

Number out over the phone - I mean but you have no idea who the person is on the other end. For all you know they may be keeping track of this information and selling it to who knows whom... . There are so many call centers in India and even in JAILS --- now that's scary.....

i order phone cards over the net and the first time i ordered the company called my home just to ask if it was a legit order. i thought it was kind of a pain but it did reasure me that it was a legit deal. they didnt ask for any card #'s.

i never use my check card for online or phone purchases. at least with a credit card, you covered from fraud and theyll cover you if you have product issues.

According to my bank my Visa check card is covered just like an ordinary Visa. Zero liability if it is lost or stolen.

I know some banks don't use Visa check cards and that might be the difference.
