While all this might sound bad to Dodge fans here, We do our best to keep all these Dodges up and running! I do a lot of the towing to save $$$ for all these people so they can get these trucks fixed and running for cheap (also the fixing done by us) Several in these photos have over 400,000 ks on them. Mine has nearly 500,000k while the white 1998 in one photo has 700,000ks.

What makes your truck a "Case/IH" other than the cool stickers? Looks like a Dodge to me. Am I missing something?

Did you put a Ford International diesel under the hood?

It must be that CaseIH has used the same Cummins 5. 9L engine in several of their tractors. BTW, CaseIH and Navistar's International Trucks are totally different companies with no ties to each other.

Aharris: it's a Case IH because the Cummins engine was designed for Case tractors first before being installed in Dodge trucks. And the truck is tough like a tractor, always hauling everything, plus sled pulling etc. Always very reliable. And no international (navistar) crap under the hood. These cummins are in every case ih tractor on the market, including the 6. 7l. :D

yup, I work at a New Holland dealership, see lots of 6. 7 "Iveco"'s

Aedelheit: can you clarify what iveco is? They look like cummins with a different name or a division of Fiat? My friend's mx110 McCormick tractor has the 6. 7 iveco. First time I've seen or heard that.

Iveco is now an Italian Truck, Bus and diesel engine manufacturer based in Turin, Italy. It is now owned by Fiat. We saw a fair number of Iveco trucks on our RVing trip around the perimeter of Australia and NewZealand. Also, for the last couple of years the largest Case/International combines are powered by Fiat diesel engines... ..... ED

I wondered how long it would be before Fiat/Iveco engines began appearing in CaseIH products after the breakup of the Cummins-Case joint venture a couple of years ago. About six years ago, the contractor who installed our new septic system was using a newly purchased New Holland backhoe loader that looked very much like the old Ford 555 backhoes before the Ford/New Holland merger. A decal on the tractor read "Made in Italy". I didn't get a look at the engine, but I presumed it was a Fiat sourced diesel.

How i happened to find out about the Iveco engines in the combines was like this. Helping my son-inlaws delivery guys deliver grain bin packages to this particular farm in Northern Saskatchewan. We pulled into the yard and the hired man told us it would be a few minutes before the tractor with the front-end loader showed up. Of course we started asking about the farm, we could see it must be a fairly big operation. He said the farm was 24000 acres. The hired man mentioned the boss just bought 4 new Case/International combines, 1 had already been delivered and was in a large shed beside us. Of course i've got to have a look and upon climbing up the ladder on this monster ( seemed like about 12 ft. ) checked out the engine and stamped on the block was IVECO. I must have had a puzzled look on my face as i was expecting to see a CUMMINS. ... ... ... ED

There is quite a bit of comonality between SOME of the IVECO engines and some of the Cummins engines. I dont know if IVECO has licence to produce from the Cummins design but the 6. 7B series and the C series engines are very similar.

It may be why Cummins bought the Case share of the Cummins-Case joint venture which ended it. Fiat/Iveco may have been taking advantage of the joint venture and doing too much 'copying".

Gonzo66, bill: in my buddy's McCormick tractor, what I saw is a 6. 7 cummins. But then the guy told me its an iveco engine. He said iveco is part of fiat. So I assumed everyone is working together until these last few post said that Case IH is no longer together with Cummins in their joint venture.
