1969 Ford Crew Conversion......

91 Cummins into 91 Chevy 1 ton questions

Today was the first episode of this build. They are mating a quad cab 4 dr 70's Ford to a '97 Dodge/Cummins. Pretty frickin cool! Should be pretty informative too for those out there interested!

They made it all look so easy, with all their fancy tools and neat, clean shop! Awesome project though! Gotta love that it is a 12 valve Cummins with a manual transmission. So many conversions seem to be slushbox and government motors 350 engines. boooorrriiiinnnngggg!!! This one was interesting!

I watched a show last night on TV and some dude saved the world on less than 4 hours---including commericals :-laf:-laf

several years ago, had to be in the early 80s, we were installing a diesel driven fire pump at our plant(the pump had like a big cam N-14 or something with a turbo). The company doing the pump installation had a pickup with a Cummins engine in it and I swear i believe it was a Ford. The guys told us it was an experimantal installation. Could this have been the forerunner of the Ram with Cummins? bg

The B3. 9 and B5. 9 went into production in (I believe) 1983, as a joint venture between Case equipment company and Cummins engine company.
