2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission True Billet Grill?

Has anyone run into a true billet grill for our trucks? I am talking about the chrome colored plastic or painted plastic one that comes from the factory. Has anyone machined one? I know this sounds funny but metal belongs on trucks and the plastic belongs in my wife's Maxima.

I think we need a grill cut out of a solid peice of aluminum. I have busted two grills in the last year. It would be an expensive peice though. I would like to try to make one out of steel after I get moved into my shop.

Is that an entire grill, or just the inserts that go in the middle.

I think everyone is missing the point. jraker, like myself would like to have a metal grille to replace the plastic chrome peeling POS that DC put on our trucks. Not some cheap grille insert but a complete grille.

Rowilson is correct. I am looking for a complete grill. I already have the mesh inserts but I would like the surround to be metal not cheap plastic. OR a whole solid one piece grill would be nice.



McCRam I would be interested to see some pictures of what you come up with once you get your shop up and going. I know it would be expensive but what isn't expensive on our trucks?
