I was wondering which box people prefer and pros and cons of each. I don't plan on adding huge amounts of HP, just the box and maybe a set of 275's or DD1's. Which box would work the best for this type of setup (basically Stock). The only thing modified is the trans with a DTT VB and TC. Thanks for the help!

I believe your choice of injectors will help you choose which box. The True Torque box has settings specifically requested by DD to go with their injectors.

I have the DD1's injectors and the EZ onmy truck and have been happy with it so far, but I think both boxes are fine with injectors as they are made by the same company just with slightly different programing.

You might as well get the DD2's since your trans can handle the power. The DD2's actually have LOWER EGT's than the DD1's because of a better spray pattern.

The difference between the DDTTPM and the EZ is a less aggresive fueling on the DD (milder on your pump).

I have a DD version of the EZ that's two months old that I've been trying to sell, so I can upgrade to a Comp (the DD version of the comp anyway). I prefer the DD version for the easier timing curve.

Email me if you might be interested.

I have the DD TTPM to go with my DD Stage III injectors. I'm VERY pleased with the performance of both products. As I do not feel the need for any additional power, I'm going to keep what I have chosen and be happy. :)

..... however, if I were to purchase a new Ram I would definitely purchase the new (Premium) Wizard FMS. That's not a hit against DD, just a new toy that totally captivated my attention the day I laid eyes :eek: on it.

I run the DD2's and the EZ, and am really pleased with the results. Although I also ran the TTPM with the DD2's and found that the TTPM ran smoother with the dd injectors. Power wise they were about the same.

I have driven almost all combinations of power, and the nicest overall power and drivability enhancement that I seen was a PE Comp box. It gives you the smoothest ride out of any fueling box in my opinion.

John, you should drive our truck with the Comp, it's unreal. :D I've driven in 3 trucks with the wizard "premium" box and there is a big difference.

Ramafid, as weird as this will probably sound I have had 275's,DD1's,DD2's, and the lowest EGT's came from the DD2's as well as the best performance. So from my findings I would say that the best injectors would be the DD2's as the also smoked less than the DD1's.

Stefan, can you elaborate a little on the differences between the Comp and the Premium Blue Chip boxes, especially what you mean by smoothness and performance differences. Thanks :)

I run the DD2's with their box. I am very happy with it. The truck has 8K on it now and is pushing close to 22mpg at 70-75mph. I have gotten as high as 23. 3 on one tank coming back from Brownsville with a mild tailwind with the cruise set on 75. Max temps I have seen is a little is over 1100. The box is set on the middle setting and only smokes at low boost with a lot of pedal. It runs high 15's according to the G-Tech. I have no clutch issues whatsoever, but do most of my hot rodding on the freeway... CJ

I am planning on getting an EZ box this week for my 01' auto. Anybody running JUST the EZ (No injectors). All i have done to my truck is a 4" exhaust and a Psychotty. I really dont have the money for injectors right now, just the EZ, i just want to make sure it will still be a noticeable improvement. I forgot to ask this question to Mass Diesel today when i had the chance.

There are several people that run just the EZ. Three people I can think of off the top of my head here in Omaha are (EKarr, Idaho Native, and DHatfield). Doug just recently added injectors this past weekend, but until then it was an EZ only. None of these trucks are autos tho. Your going to gain about 40peak hp and about 60 to 65hp down low. Buy it... put it on drive it. Take it off and go for a drive... then tell me if you notice the difference.

The best part is if ya don't like it send it back. 60 day money back garentee on Edge Products.

I think with its simple installation and sotp feel it is well worth the money, for any one single upgrade. I easily hit 30 #s of boost with a max of 33#s. I traded my VA for the EZ just so when I do injectors I will have some adjustability. I would have like to gone with the Edge Comp box, Later. :D . Sam.
