Just a quick FYI out there to you guys that have purchased the True Torque Power Module by Diesel Dynamics. Literature that is sent with the product states it is shipped set at level 3 (50HP).



After driving mine a week or so and using my scientific "seat of the pants" dyno test :D, I came to the conclusion that I am definitely not getting 50HP.



I wrote Ken out at DD about my concern and he suggested moving my setting to Level 4. I just went outside to change the settings and found the shipped setting to be at LEVEL 2... NOT Level 3 as stated in the literature. I of course immediately changed the setting to Level 4 (65HP) and let me tell you... the difference was dramatic.



So... the lesson here is -- don't assume like I did that the setting is shipped at level 3... . it might not be.

Did you change the setting to level 4? If so... . what were your impressions after doing so? Are you considering that new TST module or are you going to stick with your TTPM??
 
Whatever box you use, that power increase is about all the turbo (egt) and stock lift pump can deal with. And, if towing heavy, you need to watch the pyro and probably fuel pressure with even an additional 65 hp.
 
I checked the pin position before I ever put it on. I moved it to 4 and have never turned it down. Didn't have any trouble with temps but my fuel pressure could be pulled down to vacuum and my truck would stop making power at that point. That was when the call to DD for the pusher pump happened. No more fuel pressure problem. I'm not sure if I will get the TST box or not. Its quite probable since I have some headroom with temps and boost on my current setup. I may put in a cam and make a few other changes so I'm kinda waiting for the smart people to get things figured out. This is just gravy at this point, I already have a blast on a grocery run.
