is there anyone running the interco truxxus mud terrain tire, i am looking at the 35-12. 50-16 load range e. currently running the nitto terragrapler but looking for a larger more aggressive tire with a 10 ply rating

I have the SSR and i think they ride good but they do make a little noise at highway speed. if you want to see them look at the readers rig link

I ordered six 255/85/16 for my dually and they should be in tomorrow. A buddy put some 285/75 on his 3/4 ton and they look and ride great with a "E" load range. Sure sold me and 4 wheel parts had some good prices. JM. 02

I personally don't have any input on the tires but they do look very nice and I hear they pull great offroad. I guess I"m a little biased because the tires are made just South of here and if you pick them up there you don't pay for installation and you don't have freight and handling fees. :D

Thanks for the replys, I was at our local 4Wheeler parts and they had a set of 35-12. 50-16 10 ply trxus tires that a customer had on a toyota for 50 miles and complained that they rode rough, somehow i dont think that will be a problem for the heavy dodge picked these up at half price.

I liked the nittos up till the last tire rotation and balance i waited to long to rotate and chopped them up a bit. Got about 30k on them and could go 10k more, i have a heavy foot.

I had a pair of 285's and got about 25k out of them with numerous runs down the track. They are fairly soft so long life might be out of the question but they do really well off road.

Sweet, my Trxus mud radials will be in on monday,10-27-03. Ordered them from 4 wheel parts over the weekend when they had there free shipping special. Save about 200 bucks on shipping 6 tires and a winch.

You should enjoy your TRXUS tires, I ended up going with the LTB biased ply tires, and love the look of them, and with them aired up to 55lbs of pressure, they don't ride any worse than my BFG AT's did aired to 65lbs (had to keep them at that pressure so they would wear evenly). I know I won't get the same mileage out of the softer tire, but it does look sweet on it. I had the BFG's on there so long, they were getting weather cracked with only 70k miles on them.

Here are some pics of the tires.

Morphious,

I guess you liked "the matrix"??? I love the pics, and your hood. I am thinking about the ram air or the shaker hood if I get my truck re-painted . Do I need to know anything special, before a pourchase is made?? Is yours metal or glass? The tire are sweet, I love there agressive stance. My BFG's are the mud terrain's and have been great, not as noisey as most tend to think. I ordered a set of ALCOA wheels to mount the TRXUS tire to, they will be my "summer" set, and the BFG's will go on for the winter. I have gotten good mileage out of the BFG's and know I probally will not get as much mileage out of the TRXUS tires. And I suspect they will sing a little more also.

nope, I've used Morphious online, long before the matrix came out. The hood is from CarHoods.com, and is fiberglass. Expect alot of work preping the hood for paint. You have to carve out the ram air holes, along with the hole for the hood catch plate, and the grill alignment holes. That part went pretty easy, but the body man that did the paint prep was ready to kill me with all the little pin holes he had to work out of the glass.

The trxus tires will probably sing, my truck sounds like a C130 at takeoff when I'm doing 70mph down the highway.

I've been running BFG mud terrains and all terrains for the last 10 years, on my different vehicles, I wanted the LTB's just to have a different look for a while, and to see if they really were that bad. They seem to be wearing pretty well for a soft compound rubber, and considering they weren't balanced, they ride good as well, can't tell they haven't been balanced. The only bad issue with them is the out of round after sitting for a while, but a mile or two down the road, and they are back to round again.
