Trying to be Nice

I was towing my empty flatbed home this morning and I ran across a guy that had apparently gotten of I-75 with a problem. Since he was at an exit with no service stations I stopped to see if he needed any help. His Duramax was skipping bad and he was afraid to go any further. I told him to pull it up on my trailer or I would be glad to winch it up and I'd take him to the Chevy dealer in Perry, GA which was about 15 miles away. He declined. No reason, just said "No thanks".



It was cold as heck here this morning and windy. I kinda felt sorry for him standing there looking at his sick baby on the side of the road. I headed north. I was thinking that he acted like I had insulted him by offering him a free tow. I was just trying to be nice.

talk about cutting your nose off to spite your face... bet he was one of those guys who thinks his ride is better than anyone else's especially a ram owner

At least you asked Alan. It takes all kinds in this world. It was his decision to take the offer or not and he made it.

I was at the Highway 26 crossing I-75. The people at On-Star are probably still trying to figure out where he is. Maybe they had already called a wrecker. That's OK. I would have taken him up Highway 41 and no one would have seen it. I certainly wouldn't want to add insult to injury.
