The truck 02 2500 2wd QC LB cummins with 6 speed slt, these are harder to find in calif. The Dodge web site prices them at $33,000 What can I expect to get off of the window price?

stick it to the man

Screw the sticker ask and demand to see the invoice

When I purchased it was invoice & $500. 00.

This economy should yield a better deal or order a truck :)

How valuable would you say the 7 year 100k mile warranty (until dec 31st) would be. Wouldnt this be a great reason to buy NOW instead of waiting foe an 03? Yes I know the 03 will be the new body style and 9% more power.

if you plan on any BOMBs Kiss the warrenty bye bye anyway

If you don't modify the power then the extra warranty is fine, but a BOMBed truck is a much better truck ;)

Here is a plan that cost you nothing: Call my dealer. 1 800 BOSSIER. Ask for Deanna. When you get "Giggles" on the phone tell her I asked you to call. Just tell her what you want. She will "build" the truck in her computer and fax you the invoice. THEN you will KNOW what the truck will cost. Shop around, if you cannot beat the deal, order the truck from her and she will have the truck delivered to the dealer of your choice on a "Courtesy Delivery" for a nominal fee. (generaly 2 to 300 dollars) Or if you like to hide behind a CRT, email her: -- email address removed -- Personally, I like talk'n to folks when I spend my $$$$$$$ Good Luck!

Order it.

Order your truck. When you order it, they can give you a better deal than if you buy it off the lot. The reason is that they pay interest on trucks that are sitting on the lot. If it never sits on the lot, they don't pay interest on it, so they don't need to get as much to turn a profit. Also, do not work with a salesperson. They have to get a commision. Who pays it? You do. If you deal with the sales manager or fleet manager, you can get a better deal. They're on salary and don't work on commision, so they can give you a better deal. I went to 3 dealers when I ordered mine. I insisted on talking to the top dog at each place. I told them what I was going to order and asked how much. They knew I was going to order a truck somewhere, so they knew they only had one shot with me. I took their price, thanked them, and walked out. No negotiating. At the end, I bought it from the lowest bidder - which was only about $40. lower than the highest, by the way. But he was closest to me, and he was the one I wanted to buy it from anyway. I also knew the invoice price on all the options, so I knew what price I was looking for. I shaved about 5k off the sticker price - ended up paying just a hair over invoice. I learned a lot from the Edmunds site. I tried it, and it worked well for me. Plus, it's fun to order it exactly how you want it. The down side is you have to wait - but that makes it sweeter when you get it! One more thing - join the farm bureau! It's $37. 50 well spent to have another $500. knocked off the price.

pay close to invoice

I ordered my 2002 back in June 2001 and took delivery in August 2001. I paid $59 over invoice for my truck. I purchased my truck from Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg Idaho. I've heard of many people flying into Spokane Washington to purchase from Dave Smith Motors and driving them back home and still saving several thousand dollars. Call them for a quote.

I GAVE YOU A DEDICATED THANK YOU BARRY!

I don't like the NEW body style, In my opinion, the interior looks cheaper, bad plastic fit. The front door is noticably smaller, and THAT is the door I get in! The extra power and rack & pinion would have been nice, but who could wait another year for a tidbit of changes that I approve of.

Is your sig the truck you want to buy? If it is go to Melton Sales on the internet. They are located outside Tulsa Okla. They don't have salesmen they sell everything no dicker $500 under invoice. You can look at their prices and inventory on the internet. Good luck.

Picked my truck up Saturday. If your looking for a deal I can't say enough good things about Melton Sales. Including my CDL rebate of $300 and the Melton Price the total ended up being $1979. 00 under invoice. None of the local guys wouldn't even touch that.

Hope it helps.

I bought mine used, and got a great deal from the local dealer (and the local dealer has great service), but if I ever have the money to buy a new one, Melton Sales is only a 2 hour drive for me so I will have to take advantage of their deals. Congrat's Charlie on the new ride :D

Just bought this truck. It's a ST (base model) with AC, tow and camper packages added. $27. 5 out the door special order in MA. Probably could've done better, but didn't have a lot of time to put into it.

buying a new truck

When I bought my 2000 new I paid $500 over invoice with no trade-in. It stickered for 32,167 and I gave 28,508. I didnt think that was to bad. I think you will most likely get a better deal if you buy your truck out right. Sometimes they will try to screw you when you trade-in a vehicle by saying the will give you a lot for it and not coming off of the sticker price much if any. My advise to you is not to trade, but sell outright to an individual (if you can wait that long) and then go wheel and deal with the dealer. ;)
