I purchased a Clifford Arrow 3 Alarm, and I have everything else done, but now need help getting the door locks to work. . On my old alarm, it was hooked into one wire, which when tested is constant hot. . When I hook the alarm wire to it, it makes the dome light come on. . Can Y'all help me out?

It's just a guess but it sounds like you got the door switch wire instead of the lock wire. Most of the stuff in the newer trucks has the ground wire switched instead of the hot wire. It sounds like you provided a ground for the door switch which activated the dome light.

I'm not sure if the 1998's are the same but I belive so (I think they went to switching grounds in 1999). There are two wires you need to tap into to get the power lock to function with the alarm. I only have the colors handy for a 1996 but I don't think they apply for the 1998s.

Hey Chris,

Not sure, but think I remember seeing somewhere that the Dodge infinite wisdom created some kinda weird timed negative pulse door lock circuit. I'll check with my brother and see if he knows anything. Give me a call this weekend. Numbers in my profile if I didn't give it to you before.
