I installed my new TS MP-8 yesterday. Problem is the switch was broke when I got it. The little chip in the switch was broke where it meets the red wire. I soldered the switch like TS told me, but am not real impressed with the power. There is a difference in power from stock ,but no matter where I put the switch power is the same. New switch is on the way. What can I expect with every thing working good. This box is on my stock Megacab. I thought I would be able to atleast smoke the tires. :confused:

Patience grasshopper.

The MP 8 is a very aggressive pressure box with lots of low end power. When you get your new dial, be sure you've got your head on the headrest before you plant the skinny pedal.

I had a Ramifier for a while, (non adjustable version of MP8) and loved it. The first day I had it, I idled away from a 4 way stop. About half way across the intersection, I flat planted it. Diesel smoke, tire smoke, all the way to redline, then half way through SECOND GEAR when I let off! From a ROLL! I laughed the whole way home. :-laf

Stuff like that has me lookin for a transmission. She's just too slushy now. :{

Go tackle your mailman. :D

Blacksheep,

If the switch is broken then you won't feel a difference, it reverts to stop when this happens. Call the shop and have them get you out another switch and you will be fine. Once you install the new switch you won't have to wonder if it is making power. It usually dyno's out at 105 RWHP. Let me know if you have any questions.

Well I got the new switch today. The truck does run harder and will squeel the tires (mine are 35" Cooper STTs). Maybe I have high expectations. I thought it would just smoke the tires rite off the truck but it doesn't. Could this be due to the torque management programs in the trucks computer? Do the six speed manual trucks have torque management? Don't get me wrong the truck does take off hard just not as hard as I thought it would. I am comparing these launches with the ones my 70 plymouth GTX does :D So I guess for a 7,400lbs Beast it does alright. I just can't wait until I get my injectors installed at Dynomite Diesel. :D
