I bought a brand new torque converter controller from TS performance and it won't work right. The unit lights up fine. The functions and menus work as designed, and it even displays the "engaged" and "disengaged" message at the exact speed that I set the lock and unlock speed to. Only prob is, it won't control the converter clutch. I rigged a spade connector bypass to reengage the stock converter setup so I can actually have ANY lockup. This simply reconnects the converter to the factory ECU and it works like stock. The only thing I can figure is that something is wrong with the plug into the unit or maybe it won't command a dodge converter. The instructions for install frankly sucked and so did the 22 ga wiring harness that takes nothing do nick or break by the look of it. For the money I think a 16 ga wiring would make better sense. The wiring directions are abysmal. I had to call 5 times and was at least glad to quickly get my questions answered by TS performance. One guy there sent me another controller unit and it does the same as the new one. The one he sent was tested on his own truck, so it is a known value. I am out of ideas! Help!

TS has a problem with the harness being built incorrectly. There are 2 wires that need to be jumpered for it to work and that may your problem.

Call them back and mention the harness problem and see if that is the issue.

Good luck. :)

I lost 1st gear, OD, and converter lockup after running the TCC for about 5 miles. I had a loose pin to the converter in the plug that plugs into the TS TCC. I am lost now. It works till it screws everything up!

I ended up discovering that the brown wire in the TS wiring harness (TS PERF) had pulled the pin out of the back side of the plug, away from the controller unit and so the converter could NOT get any signal from the TCC unit. That solved, I swapped anohter TCC unit form TS perf. in and it works perfectly so far. Lock up at 36 mph, unlock at 30, but am considering unlock setting at 32 mph.
