Tsb 08-26-00, Going For A Wrecker Ride!

If an F series comes to pick up "Timmy" I am going to PUKE!!! #@$%!



I am getting REALLY frustrated with Dodge Service right about now. Over the last three months, my truck has been in three different occasions for five days EACH time, and it appears the dealership never checked to see if this TSB was applicable to my truck.



Pardon my french but WTH???



When I had a Phraud Mustang, pulling all applicable TSB's was the first thing the service writer did to see if there was ANYTHING additional that may be causing problems, or that they could GET PAID TO FIX as a PREVENTATIVE MEASURE.



This is officially strike one for this truck!



Next time I'm picking out the color of its replacement... AND IT WON'T BE IN THIN DODGE PAINT!

It wasn't an F-Series, but it was still powered by an IH V-8, oh the injustice of it all.

Well, I got'em back, sure enough... . TSB as I figured (thx fritz and TDR).



Anywho, when I pressed my service advisor as to "why it wasn't checked on the last several trips" I was told that they can not perform "applicable" tsb's unless the vehicle exhibits the syptoms outlined in the TSB.



I told him that I could understand that as it could generate un-needed warranty claims, but that the economics of towing in the failed units couldn't be all that desireable either. Oh well Chalk up another one to corporate bean counters.



Upon picking it up, it did not sound the same, granted its cold and the engine had just recently been started up, but it just sounded different?



I did a light warmup drive (AFTER NOTICING THEY PUT 6 MILES ON MY TRUCK WHILE IT WAS IN FOR ELECTRICAL FIX? AND IN DOING SO PEGGED MY SPA BOOST GAUGE AND SAW 890 egt's) and when it finally got up to opperating temps all seemed well enough.



I wish there was a dang valet power function on these stupid things like the ZR1 corvettes had so hourly service porters and disrespectful techs would be less inclined to rag on one's vehicle.
