I chose to have my private mechanic replace the oil pressure sensor. Over 12K miles ago, and no problems since.
Because of bombs I was dreading a dealer visit. My mechanic talked with a trusted dealer mechanic who truely knows what he's doing around the Cummins. He said ignore the TSB and replace the sensor. Why?? the re-flash is supposed to be the mother of all re-flashes and includes them all. Some on the TDR have complained about loss of power after various re-flashes. He said there was no way to predict how your reflash would work out.
Cost me close to $200 to go this route, but for me, it worked and I would do it the same way again.
