Anyone buy and install the breather TSB themselves? Can you buy the 05093017AA kit breather? Cost?



Thought while I was replacing the VP44, I might do it. SNOKING

I know the new breather kit will eliminate the factory bottle that leaves oil everywhere, but won't the oil fumes/vapors still be venting right behind the fan? A bigger concern is the fact that the vapors will still cause dust/debris to coat the radiator and plug it up.



I believe that you can get one here www.hoeslidiesel.com/specials.htm however I can't verify it since my work has blocked access to alot of sites. If I remember, it was kind of pricey for what you get.



Personnally, I just ran a vent hose from the stock breather down into the frame rail. Cost about $6

I did extend the hose, but if you go down a step hill (offroading), you still dump oil out the breather. SNOKING
