I read it and it sounds like it can be done for my 03. 5 HO truck. My engine number and build date are before the dates listed, so I think it should work.

The dealership called me and said when they put my VIN number in the computer for TSBs it does not show and they will not even try it.

Only works on '04's and up, there are no 03. 5, you've got an 03 or an 04. If it's an 04 built after what ever date is in the TSB and you have an auto then it will work.

There is an 03. 5, 04, 04. 5 models.

During these time lines, there were major changes. 03 the HO/48RE was not avaliable. The 03. 5 and 04 are the same engine/trans. 04. 5 they stopped offering the 305/555 and went to the 600.

If you read the TSB, it says for trucks before that build date. In the instructions it list 98 1/2 through 2003 trucks. (YES, they denote . 5 year models)

Thanks

I think the real key here is that starting with the 04 MY the automatic transmission and the cruise control are both run by the ECM that runs the engine and it was simple to put code into the ECM to have it run the sevro controller to run up the idle. Before 04 there was an separate box "PCM" on the passenger side fire wall the controlled the transmission and ran the cruise control.
