Went this morning and had a couple of things fixed. One was TSB 18-004-04. It's the one that allows me to use the cruise control to idle high. It's not working. They said it's done but nothings happening. Does it only work when the truck is cold? They also did TSB 18-003-04, it fixes the a/c when the truck isn't at full opertating temps. That seems to be fixed but they said they could only do one at a time and that this fixed both problems but I can't set cruise at high idle. What am I doing wrong? or did they lie to me. Also, they said the truck "wouldn't take" the redo on the pinion factor. (35"s) Thoughts?

driverno8,

Welcome to the club on the hi-idle TSB. (See my post from two weeks or so ago) I had to go back to the dealer as they did not get mine working right the first time. (It was their first one to do) It works at any engine or outside air temp if they did it right.

Turn cruise on

Push set

push accelerate

(no foot on the brake)

If it doesn't work take it back.

Good Luck

Correct except you don't have to push accel, unless you want to increase the rpm above the default 1100.

Good luck

To have the Cruse Control High Idle work is a two part project the need to do the Reflash to put the updated controll program in step one. The second step is going back in with the DRBIII scanner and ENABLE the High Idle option it is disabled as installed in the Reflash code.

You guys are awesome. Thank you. What about the pinion factor not taking? Have you heard of that? What other ways are there to get it calibrated?

yycguy,

I have been meaning to ask if 1100 rpm is a default. I haven't had the need to operate mine but just a few times and was wondering.

You are correct.
