Has anyone had the Service Bulletin 18- 006- 12 performed?

According to the overview it adds the trouble codes "P1222 and P1223. "

I would be interested in anyone has had this update performed and if there have been any adverse effects as a result of the new trouble codes installed.

thanks.

This update was incorporated around a year ago into Smarty tunes, there initially was a rash of codes. There were enough that people thought it was a Chrysler glitch; however, it not seems that they might just be accurate.

My truck monitors for the new codes, and I haven't had any issues.

There is definitely going to be some adverse effects if you have issues. Question is do you want o know when you potential problems.

The dealer told me that this is the most current update for my truck. I figured I would do the updates to try and resolve an on-going drivability issue. The tech advised me of the possible warning issues should they arise... he then went on to say that the way to resolve the issues (should they come up) is to replace the injectors. ... but I just had them replaced (not by the dealer, but by an aftermarket diesel shop. )

If I have the TSB update and then codes are set, then I am looking at injectors again!!

Pretty much, yes. If you did not get adequate injectors then you may get the grid heater icon, dings, and power derate. The trigger for these DTC's has a very narrow margin of error. A malfunctioning FCA can set the codes and cause headaches. If you are happy with the way it runs do NOT get a reflash. If not, you really have nothing to lose.

It isn't always bad injectors. It is any leak in the high pressure that keeps the rail pressure below the desired pressure.

My Truck was running fine (I thought). I incorporated the TSB through my Smarty Jr. and started displaying DTC 1222 and 1223. I had new injectors and tubes installed and that fixed that. Now my truck runs better than it ever did, even sounds better. More power and runs smoother. So, if you don't want to know don't ask but I like to know my Truck is running the best that it possibly can.

Confirmed - did the 20325253AO Flash by accident and got a fairly new Truck back - Engine runs very smooth and silent, no injector rattle anymore, no hard ignitions on - smooth as silk it runs now. Unbelievable....

First I thought the Dealer flashed something wrong onto my Truck but yeah, it's Fine.
