So whats the consensus good or bad? I’ve got a 05 that just falls in. I’ve only got 500 miles on the truck and Im getting around 16 mpg mixed driving. I don’t want loose any performance to gain 1 or 2 mpg.

I had mine done a few months ago and ever since then, It smokes for the first 1/2 to 1 mile. i have just over 4k miles and the dealer is going to "look" at it on monday. I also have a "pinging" problem since. My mileage isnt as good as my 04 but it did improve slightly since the TSB. Im just not too happy about the white smoke at start up.

Flash Update

I had the flash update and then took a 2700 mile holiday trip. Since I have been back I have hand calculated my milage and I have gone from an average of 16. 3 mpg for combined driving to 19. 6. Same roads, same average speed. I am totally pumped!!!! No experiential difference in power, pick up etc. Totally PLUS!!!!!! Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo.

Worked great for me too. MPG's went up about 1. 5 on first full tank - hand calculated. Had pinging before and it didn't make it worse, but it didn't help like it did for others.

Same here. Increased milage to 19. 5 but did'nt help with the pinging.
