This flash was done on one of our work trucks 2001 6sp. Would like to know what it is for.

You have me stumped here. 18-33-97 is for a reflash to 1998 MiniVans for improper cooling fan operation, which can overheat the 4 and 6 cylinder engines. I don't know how it would apply to 2001 ETH trucks, which were not even being built when that bulletin was issued in 1997.
