I had the TSB done yesterday in conjunction with them signing my V06 off.

1-2 seems a little smoother but that could be mental too... I never really had any crazy issues thou, and none empty.

Update, towed 12k about 8 miles, definitely like the latest tcm software. Sunday we'll be taking a 130 mile trip with 12k 5th wheel. Then return a week later. Mostly interstate though. But will have some rural roads with hills an a mountain or two.

Did a couple hundred miles empty this week on the update. Some highway, some commuting, and a lot of slow mountain roads.

I too like the update. I didn’t have many real complaints with the OE software but I do like this better.

I will say that it’s much more aggressive with the torque converter locking.

I also feel like my throttle response is more sensitive, but in a good way. TH empty makes the tires chirp more than I’ve ever heard and that’s at 35psi.

2-1 under load is as smooth as ever.

Can’t wait to get some towing miles on it.

After towing 130 miles with 12.4k 5th wheel, I can say I definitely love the new logic. Haven't had any weird odd random stuff like I was getting on the line software. Obviously it will never shift like a car trans, but this new version smoothed the edges down some. Even on the highway the shifting response was really good. No delay or lugging in the 5th and 6th gears. It would 6-5 perfectly without using a lot of throttle.

If you have a 2018, get yourself to the dealer for a flash on your TCM.
Any year, make sure you have the lastest version for your truck.

I did some towing this weekend with the new flash and I really like it.

Like I mentioned earlier I had no complaints, but this is just better.

I definitely like the new software too. I've towed a couple times now and still prefer it over the original.

To be clear there is two different TSB's: one for 2018's and another for 2019's.

Having this done on my 2018 it made the shifts better and more predictable. I do not have to feather 1st gear all the time waiting for second to roll all the power on. Otherwise it would slam and shudder the 1-2 shift badly. Now it shifts like it should have from day one except for the 2-neutral-1 "posi test" loosing speed on a extreme grade.

Just had this done this morning. Can't tell any real difference, but will see next time I'm pulling the camper. They also did TSB 18-061-21, but can't find any information about it. Anyone here know what this is?

More and more towing miles on my flash, still liking it!!

So far it hasn't done the 6-5-4-5-6 hunt at 63-68 that it had previously, so that would be an unadvertised bonus.

Thanks Earl. Doesn't appear to apply to '19s.

Mine is shifting better after the flash, but still does some odd shifts, if I am not just rolling out in a simple acceleration pattern.

Correct, it's for 2018's.

Got the TSB 18-061-20 flash done today. Time will tell if any noticable improvements come of it. Short drive from dealer to home. Next weekend I have a camping trip, will see if I notice anything.

Any updates on the flash?
Towed this past weekend. Between the two flashes the trans never shifted better. It still has its moments like any other auto, but a lot less of them. If you have a 2018, get the two flashes done! The TSB 18-061-20 addresses a lot other than just the transmission.

Towed my 35' 12.5K 5th wheel. Highway, city and rural. Lots of hills and mountains, Pennsylvania sizes.

Awesome.. it's in the shop today for an air suspension issue so I'll have it applied.
