TSB issued on window tint scratching

Brillmtb, I believe that all original manufactured equipment tint is glass that has been impregnated with the tint, not a film that is applied to the outside of the glass. That being said, if a aftermarket tinted window is being scratched by use, lowering and raising, that even a factory tint window would eventually show signs of scratching. An aftermarket tint would just show up sooner.

I took my truck in for an inspection and while it was there I asked about this TSB. I was told that it applies only to aftermarket tint and it is a different wiper they install. Doesn't do anything to correct the window scratching, if you dont have aftermarket tint.
