I was told by the dealer that they can look up TSB and recall info from the VIN and that pulling my wheels off to see if I have the ones that may crack (per the TSB) is not necessary. Makes me a little nervious that they didnt check because the tsb does not say "check the VIN and if listed check the wheel" it says check the wheels.
Anyone know if they can safely check with VIN only?
They also told me paint warrenty and loose fan bolts dont apply to my vehicle based on VIN.
Lastly, I mentioned the pulling to the right and got the "deer in the headlights" look. They must have heard this a thousand times by now and you would think they would come clean. In fact, the guy pulling in behind me had been to 3 shops with no fix.
I took my truck to a local alignment shop, I know the guy, since the dealers machine was down that day. The guy I know said this.
1. There is no camber adjustment unless you put new ball joints in and he did not recommend this as the place to start.
2. The caster and toe adjustments may help but it looks like the engineers at DC made a big mistake not making the camber adjustable.
This seems like it is going to be near impossible to fix. What have the dealers been telling those who went in for re alignment and did it work?
