My check engine light came on and the dealer said that it was the wiring harness on the O2 sensor. They also said that there was a TSB on the the problem. I am out of warranty be 4 months and only have 39,950 miles. I know tha TSB's are not recalls but is this something that Chrysler should cover. I think they said the code that came up was 2169 has anyone else had this issue.

I am not familiar with the code. Did they say that the dealership wouldn't cover it under warranty?

I think the emissions wiring is covered under the federal emissions warranty.

Can you tell us more.... model & year? Some of the federal emissions warranty covers for 5-6 years. It is longer than the 3 year 36,000 mile warranty

Warranty on emissions can also vary from State to State. Look up your State emissions warranty laws.

Your dealer is correct the tsb is not covered-you are out of warranty by time

Either buy the parts and do it yourself or buy the parts and bring them to a shop with the TSB... Or at least that's what I would do...

There's few of those kits on eBay (p/n 68250763AA) for around 90 bucks...

Do not attempt this at home unless you are good working with very small terminals and can follow detailed instructions to the letter
