Not sure about putting in the #10 plate. Truck has everything needed to run it. (check out the signature) Truck pulls my 9k boat easy (16300 GVWR) Up some very long steep hills by my house. But when im empty/not pulling anything, Im not really impressed with the acceleration i've got. 60 mph+ speeds. With only the Banks stuff in the truck Rated at 265 RWHP/696RWTQ

So if I went to a #10 plate in the stock position. Is the truck likely to smoke much? What about running high EGTs when pulling, Total truck and trl wgts of 16k min, up some long hot grades? May go up 2 CM on the compressor pinwheel to help things out 56cm to a 58cm. I believe stock is a 56cm HTT has the simple bolt on upgrade. 2 cm bigger pinwheel (no housing mods)

And I could do without the turbo lag I already have :{

I would go with an 11 plate, much better for towing as far as EGT's. Even with the 58 mm inducer it won't be enough air for a 10 plate on a 215 pump.

The #10 plate is the way to go... . You can move that plate all over the place to get it tuned just right for what you do. I have run both in my 97 215 pump truck... I like the #10. .

I've run a 12, 11, 10 and 0 in my 215. I have the 10 in it now. I like it just fine. It only fuels as much as you push the pedal, so egt's are still controllable. however, when you get on it, the egts do soar. but you can slide it back to control it. I used to keep my 11 around for when I would tow, but I recently got rid of it because there was no need for it. Plus, the 11 sucks with gov springs.

My opinion, buy the 10. you wont regret it. slide it back if egts are to hot while towing.

Oh yeah, just for what its worth, the turbo measurement units are in mm not cm. (I. E, 58mm, not 58 cm).

cm is what the housing are sized as (I. E, 12cm housing, meaning 12cm squared. . )

I am impressed with my #10 plate. I have the 4" MBRP exhaust, high flow air filter system, 3K gov springs to go with the #10 plate. This will set me back in my seat, compared to stock. The exhaust temps will go up with the throttle, like posted in other post. I trailered a 92 Ram 4x4 diesel home on a car trailer and could run 70 mph. I had to climb a hill out of the river bottom and had to downshift to 4th gear to get to the top of the hill and lower the exhaust temps.
