Installed the TST #11 plate Saturday all went well and then the test drive, what a dog, this thing was awful. Back to the shop figured maybe have to slide it forward a whole lot when one of my friends mentioned that maybe the boost line to the AFC should be connected. Now it runs great, whatya mean ya gotta hook up everthing. Very nice power increase but EGT would hit 1450 real easy in 4th gear around town. Sunday morning I installed the BHAF (big honking air filter) now EGT will hit 1450 but only at top rpm on the hiway with room to run, wont go over 1200 around town. With the #11 plate I had medium smoke driving a little briskly but not hard and with the BHAF I have no smoke until I hit it pretty hard. BHAF is well worth the money.

Thanks MOPAR GUY for doing the research. YAHOO fun truck. :D :D :D :D :D :D

thats great... What a difference huh? I was surprised myself.

My clutch took all I could throw at it, after I did the same thing.

It took few more mods got mine to slip.

FYI, The AFC spring (medium one) helps a little with smoke.

Sounds cool deezul1

Deezul,

What are the dimensions of your BHAF? Where are you drawing the air from?

I just ordered an 18'x7. 5"x7" cone shaped K&N with the plans of cutting a small ram air scoop on the passenger side of the hood, and relocating my 2nd battery. I hope mine will fit!

Garry.

Another thing I like it laying down a smoke screen at night in the head lights of surrounding vehicles. :D :D :D Don't notice these things much during the day. Of course I wouldn't wind it up a bit tighter either!!!!!!! Wonder if someone has plans for a simple propane flame thrower that would light upon command and shoot a two foot flame once ya hit 2k rpm... . That would make the wanna be's sit up and pay attention for sure... .   ... :D :D :D :D

My air is just from underhood, no outside duct work. I dont know the dimensions of the filter but can measure it and let you know. It fits pretty good where the stock airbox was.

b84u,

You can get the Fleetguard BHAF at Cummins MidAM near Worlds of Fun on Parvin Road.

This is where I will get mine when I can get the correct part # (hint, hint) w/ the internal steel netting.

Just in case it gets wet. I don't want the filter media in my turbo.

I installed my #11, this weekend. Runs alot better, but I have zero smoke and it waits till 1800rpms to take off. Any suggestions?

Also when I was "testing" it I smoked my clutch pretty bad. Do you guys think I can still pull a trailer w/o toasting the clutch?

Thanks guys!!

Try backing off your AFC adjustment for bottom end power, mine is backed off all the way. My clutch is marginal for performance driving but gave me no trouble pulling the 6000lb RV 3700 miles up to 8000 ft elev
