TST #5 plate

I may be able to purchase a used TST #5 plate that came out of a 95 manual transmission truck.



Would this work in my 94 auto?

The #5 TST plate is not recommended for a stock automatic transmission. You can develope enuff torque to damage the torque convertor clutch. I love the way my truck runs. However, my transmission is not stock, see my signature. One thing you might do is install a switch so you can force the TCC to stay UNLOCKED for hard pulls. Of course, if you are looking for an excuse to replace the VB and TC this is a good one.

What is the horsepower/torque rating of the #5 plate?

#5 plate going into a 94 auto truck would be 255hp & 650lb torque

I think that in you left the stock tc unlocked for a long pull you would fry the transmission due to all that heat, get one of Bill's tc's.
