Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) tst#6 plate

I just installed a #6 plate and I wanted to adjust the lever to the right spot but I'm not sure where that would be. The piers site says to adjust it so that it hits the tip of the bottom nose. would this be the very bottom of the plate or the point that sticks out the farthest? It runs great now but want to make sure it's adjusted right.
