Is the code issue with TST boxes gone or are they still working bugs out?

I have one on order but I would feel alot better if I knew the code issue was taken care of.

Thanks

Robert

Boost has been reported as high as 45#'s (stock turbo) and noticeable smoke on the higher settings. I too have one on order.

Tomeygun, tell me more about the clutch. I understand they hook up but is it grabby? If you try to slip it and go slow does it jerk? I'm concerned about backing up my trailer. Thanks.

I won't lie, with the clutch SO fresh and not broke in, It is VERY grabby and reverse is worse... jerks if you try to ease it out... BUT i called southbend and they said it would take about 500 miles before it smoothed out and broke in...

i have no regrets though, this clutch just flat out grips! trust me, with tst's box, a clutch upgrade is needed

CONCERING CODES: mark @ tst told me they changed a few lines of code (programming), and I think that will help... I will send mine in soon for the update if available - as of right now, i have no codes though, i threw crank code 4 nights ago though, so i reset it, not back yet

till later

SRadke,

I have a South Bend Con FE. The clutch does grab and it can jerk but once you learn to drive it, it is fine. I don't have any problems at all with a trailer.

Thanks Dan and Tomeygun. I know a clutch upgrade is inevitable to utilized the full potential of this TST box but I'm hesitant having never driven anything but an organic clutch. You're not telling me what I hoped to hear but I feel better anyway. :)

i am the same way, I have never drove anything but a stock clutch... i guesss there is a learning curve to these southbends... thats ok with me, though

It is really not as hard as what it is made out to be. It really is not bad at all. I am sure you could find someone that would let you drive theirs.
